You should become an expert on your segment. All you already know updated and enlarged, easily done with a thorough search at the Web should be classified and separated in short posts. The supporting material is to be posted as longer entrances.

Traffic generation is another very, very important step and probably the most difficult. There are several ways to get good traffic to your blog but there is one that always works, post good content nearly everyday.

Relevant content is another hot point, either on niche subjects or on blog related subjects.

One of my methods is, when I am inspired, to write several short articles on a subject and to publish them, one by one, each 15 days, with other posts on actual related news in between.

Keywords are another important tool, for instance now I could include, blogging, blogging from home, blogging for money, blogs, blogging at home, blogging on Internet and so on.

It is really catching, to be able to publish to the world what I think, I do or manufacture and to do it instantly is a further advantage.

I remember at the end of the 70th (previous century) being studying abroad, I had to wait a whole week to receive letters or journals from Uruguay. Phone calls were quite expensive.

To be able to use blogs to make business with people all over the world is another quite unbelievable factor for somebody who met the first computers been 25 years old !
